The bowdeck arrangement has a step flanked by the fishboxes, up to an elevated section forward, with a relatively large lower deck area forward of the console. cooler, four rocket launchers on the leaning post, locking rod stowage boxes, gunwale bolsters, toe rails, twin livewells (15 gallons forward and 30 aft), and raised casting decks both fore and aft. When it’s time to cast, the Pioneer is set up to serve: there are a pair of insulated fishboxes, a 72-qt. The reverse-cap deck is bonded on while the hull is still in the mold, to ensure a perfect fit and a water-tight seal. The stringers are also foam-filled, and are permanently bonded to the hull. Ninety percent of the area below deck level is foam-filled, and Pioneer uses a 2.3-pound density closed cell foam, which is significantly denser than that found in most boats. Like its smaller sibling, the 220 Bay Sport is built to last for the long haul and it comes along with a lifetime-yes, lifetime-structural hull warranty (seven years, transferrable). From a director with credibility, I was blown away at how much I disliked this.Ready for some serious inshore angling? The Pioneer 220 Bay Sport is designed for just that - but is built more like an offshore-quality fishing boat. Overall, the concept is definitely interesting, but the execution was very poor. I will say there is one scene that did do something for me, there is a moment where a police officer enters a house at night, and the only shot is the house with the audio on the officer's walkie enhanced, so all you hear is what happens inside.

It's not a great script, the dialogue between the CDC and the physicians in the town is extremely pandering to the audience, and there is a character (a marine biologist) who's only reason for existence in this movie is to ask 'What do you mean?' so the characters can explain to the audience what is going on. They see the first dead body on the dock and have a horribly acted reaction, in which they basically dismiss the fact that there is a corpse on the dock, and move on. There were a few scenes that really took me out of the experience - there is one in particular where the couple with the baby comes off the boat, according to the filmmaker, there are over 700 dead in the town at this point due to the outbreak. Why in a documentary-style film are these jumps included? There is this really thin line these found footage movies tread with keeping realism and legitimacy of the reason for the footage - this one does a good job explaining why people are filming, but they still resort to cheap (and genuinely poor) jumps cares WITH music crashing over the speakers to jab you into a reaction. I actually found it to be shockingly boring, and quite a bad movie. I admit, I am a sucker for found footage, so I was looking forward to this one. I just finished this last night, was actually looking forward to it considering I had seen this recommended quite a bit around here, and the reviews for it seemed to be above average, to actually quite favorable. The Bay violates the main rules of horror, by boring the viewer to death, and not trusting the audience to follow the plot
